From Southern Maine:

Take I-95 north. From exit 264 (Sherman, Maine), turn left and stay on Route 11 all the way to Fort Kent (approximately 2 hours). UMFK is located on Route 11, which becomes Pleasant Street, near downtown Fort Kent.

From Quebec City:

Drive eastbound on the Trans-Canada Highway. Exit Autoroute 20 in Rivière-du-Loup (exit 499) in order to remain on the Trans-Canada. Once in New Brunswick, take exit 18 and turn right onto Boulevard Hébert (Route 120). Continue westbound on Route 120 to Caron Brook; continue straight to stay on Route 161. In Clair, turn left immediately after the Canadian border checkpoint. Cross the river and stop at the American border checkpoint. You are entering Fort Kent. Turn left onto Main Street. Take a right at the first traffic light. The entrance to UMFK will be on your left in 0.2 miles.

From the East:

Drive westbound on the Trans-Canada to Edmundston, New Brunswick, and take exit 18. Turn left onto Boulevard Hébert (Route 120) at the first intersection. Follow the directions above.

Parking

Our primary entrance is located on the south side of Powell Hall, where we are wheelchair-accessible. Patrons can park near our Powell Hall entrance or in the commuter parking area.

Our boutique features new and used books, posters, flags, music, and documentaries on DVD. The proceeds enable us to hold events for the community, prepare exhibits, acquire and preserve rare materials, and apply for grants that require a cash match.

Cost

All of our unrestricted materials may be viewed on-site at no cost. Patrons can create a free account to check out circulating materials. However, individuals who place an interlibrary loan order may be charged shipping fees by their local institution. Black-and-white copies are 15¢, and color copies are 50¢.
