& Student Employment
Starting your first year, you will be introduced to the career planning and placement process. You will create a basic resume that can be utilized and updated throughout your undergraduate career for internships, externships, preceptorships, career fairs, and job/career opportunities.
Visit the Career Services office to explore career interests and understand what steps you can take to build your skills and achieve your career goal. Watch for the workshops and seminars on Resume and Cover to become familiar with different formats and styles employers expect to receive from college graduates.
UMFK hosts an annual Spring Semester Career Week when employers and professionals come to campus and engage with students. In addition, there are various events, such as the Annual Resume Writing Contest, Mock Interviews, and a Networking event.
Our office also handles student employment, allowing students to work on campus during their academic careers. We offer a wide range of positions across various departments on campus. These job opportunities provide you with a way to earn money during your time at UMFK and give you real-world experience and employment skills that will benefit your career path long after you graduate!
Are you ready to start your journey? Then check out UMFK’s Career Link! Students can apply to work-study and other student jobs, while alumni and soon-to-be graduates can find employment in their career paths.
