This past weekend, UMFK teamed up with the Fort Kent Outdoor Center to bring the excitement of biathlon indoors! Community members, students, and staff took aim with laser rifles on a fun indoor course, experiencing this unique winter sport that typically combines Nordic skiing and rifle target shooting, making it a challenge of endurance and precision. The Fort Kent Outdoor Center is a world-class venue which has hosted the 2004 and 2011 IBU World Cup events and continues to be powered by incredible volunteers. With challenging trails to attract top athletes and a UMFK scholarship for student biathletes, the center has been a longtime partner of UMFK.
