Your Journey Starts Here!

A huge congratulations on becoming a Bengal! We are excited to welcome you to the University of Maine at Fort Kent. To kickstart your college experience and make your transition as smooth as possible, we invite you to our New Student Orientation on Friday, August 28th. Be sure to register using the link below!

What to Expect

Orientation Day, Friday, August 28

Your orientation day kicks off at 8:30 AM with breakfast and check-in at the Nowland Cafeteria. Throughout the day, you will meet new friends, connect with the Dean from your program, and discover all the incredible resources UMFK offers to help you thrive. You’ll also have the opportunity to complete mandatory Title IX training and meet with our Conduct Officer and Campus Safety personnel to learn more about UMFK’s safe and respectful campus environment. We’ll provide lunch and dinner, and wrap things up with a bonfire on Crocker Beach at 7:00 PM. It’s going to be a great day!

Beyond Orientation Day: Weekend Activities

The fun doesn’t stop on Friday! Orientation and Welcome Back Weekend is packed with opportunities to connect with your new classmates and the wider UMFK community. Get ready for exciting events like soccer games, field games on the Quad, tubing in the Fish River, a paint & craft session, Bingo, movie night, and even a hike in the BioPark. We encourage you to stick around, join in, and have a blast as you settle into campus life!
